Raid Schedual

Ok, so after this weeks success and feedback, we are going to continue focusing on less days per week for raiding.

This week, we will have our first ICC night on Thursday April 15th. At the end of the night we will determine if we will raid on Sunday or Monday (or maybe both) for our second night.

We hope to see all you raiders on Thursday!

Thank you all again for pulling together to make this happen, I love our guild and would never trade it :)

A Change in the way we are doing things:

Considering our increasing difficulty in getting our ICC raids together, we are going to be making some changes to the way we raid.

Firstly, we will no longer raid ICC 5 nights a week. We will raid 2 nights a week in ICC. This is intended to keep our raiders from burning out and to get those that have flexible schedules to be on at the same time, focusing our efforts. This week we will be attempting a Tuesday and Thursday run. This is not a concrete schedule, and may be subject to change.

Secondly, invites will still start at 7pm server time. At 7:15 server time, spots will be filled with PUG. This will fix two issues, the first, raid nights with no raids. The second, if we find we need to pug often it will give us opportunity to meet and possibly recruit new guildies to help with our seemingly low raid population.

Third, we will not schedule weekly or voa runs, but will expect people to take the initiative to complete these if they desire. Guild runs are still possibilities but they will be spontaneous.

Lastly, we will be taking more notice of peoples performance in raids, and we will approach those that might need some help or practice at raiding on a progressive level. This is not intended to hurt anyone's feelings, but to help our guild improve as a whole. If you would like help, feel free to ask and we will do our best.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the above, please address them to Jehryn, Mendorent, Faerrie or Magglee.

We are hopeful that these changes will be positive, or at least informative.

Thank you for all you do,
-Jehryn, Mendorent, Faerrie and Magglee

Week of March 9th Weekly Raid:

Hey guildies! So the weekly is once again Marrowgar, *sigh*. As usual this brings up the question: Are we doing it as a guild? And the short answer is NO. We will build the 10 ICC group on Wednesday as planned, if you do not get into this group we advise that you either seek out a PuG 10 or 25 group, or we *might* be able to pull another 10 man together if we get enough interest, if that is the case it will be on Sunday evening (regular raid time). Hope this clears up any questions you may have, if it doesn't well then blame Dire. (or /w Jehryn, Deathdrow, Oldgregg, Franticboom, Curiositys, or Faerrie and we'll explain it to the best of our abilities.) Also, I wanted to note that Tomorrow (Wednesday the 10th) I (frantic/curi/faerrie) will be having very minor surgery on my back, I might not be around to raid on Wednesday night depending on my recovery. But I should be back and ready to kill/heal things on Thursday! Hope you all have a GREAT week, and if you need any thing please just ask!

Important raid changes!

We are going to have three changes to our raiding starting Tuesday of next week, March 9th.

1. We are going to stop having a 25 man night on Wednesday until we get two full 10 ICC groups going. We will start 10 ICC on Wed. instead of Thurs. to get more time in the dungeon and increase our chances of getting two groups inside.

2. We are going to move the raid times forward half an hour. So invites will go out at 7server and we will have the first pull by 7:30 server. Raids will end at 10:30 server.

3. Lastly, we are going to start a new system to determine and boost raid attendance:

The new system will grant 'points' or 'weight' to those that are on time to raid.

The more ICC raids you attend, the more points you get.

Each time you are present at the time of the raid, you get a point.

In other words, even if you are not selected to go into the raid, if you show up on time ready to raid you will be rewarded with a better chance to get in next time.

On time means: Logging in and letting the raid leader know you are ready to raid when the guild request for PSTs is givin between 7 and 7:30 server time.

Each time you are brought into the raid you lose a point.

This way, those that don't get in one week, will have a better chance of getting in the next week.

If you are selected to go into ICC on Wed. the first night, all your points will be cleared.

This will prevent anyone from acculmulating to many points.

If you come in on a night other than wed. you only lose one point. This way you are not penalized for being on standby.

On wed. the priority for getting into ICC will be slot based as it is now:
2 tanks
2 heals
3 melee
3 ranged
*exceptions may come up, we will handle those as the appear*

If there are more than that number in a slot, those with higher point totals will be taken.
If there are ties for points, then a roll will determine who comes.

On any other day, those that are saved will get priority, and those that came in as standbys will get
secondary priority (since they are saved though they didn't use all their points on Wed.)
Then points will determine priority for those not saved, and ties will be broken by rolls.

Only ICC will accumulate or use your points, we will still use straight rolls for the weekly and other raids.

Raid leaders will be responsible for reporting attendance to either Jehryn or Franticboom.

Point totals are not private, if you wish to know how many points you have, please ask :)

If you have any questions, please ask either Jehryn or Franticboom about the details.

Important raid changes!

Another one bites the dust!

Well, we destroyed another boss in ICC Sunday night. We downed the Blood Prince Council, three nasty reincarnated chumps. Bubamsr got a new sword, the SoulBreaker, and Taalveros got a new wand, the Wand of Ruby Claret. And then last night we got the Blood Queen down to a ridiculously low amount of health so good job to all those involved and those that weren't there that gave us moral support!

On that note, today begins a new raid week. We're excited by the number of people we've seen getting gobs of gear and working to be ready for ICC. Although we will still be going with our normal plan of switching people out on Thursday, I feel we are closer than ever to having two fully geared 10 man groups going into ICC every week.

In the mean time, the mandate remains, if you need help, if you want a run, if you could use some mats, call on us! We are a guild united, we are here to help one another.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their positive attitudes. It's our teamwork that has gotten us this far.

-Kyle (Jehryn/Deathdrow)

Disappointing 25-man turn out...again

So this is the 3rd-4th week in a row with a very poor 25 man turn out. *sigh* Please make sure you vote on the poll at the top of the page, I've added a new option (do not want 25 mans!). If we can't get a 25 ToC group going, we are never gonna be able to get a 25 ICC going, sad sad times. See you guys later!

~Franticboom

Recipe List

Hey everyone, we are in the process of adding a recipe list to the blog so you can find out if someone in the guild has the recipe you are looking for. If you could post a comment if you have a recipe from TOC, ICC or something otherwise sought out and an officer will add you to the list and remove the comment.

Thanks!

New Guild!

Hello everyone! I would like to inform all of you that I, Curiositys, am no longer in Worgen Gone Wild. I have not left on bad terms, nor did I leave for any real reason..I just wanted to start my OWN guild for helping people to lvl up and gear up to get ready for ICC. This *Should* help not only current guildies who are "below" the "line" that was set for beyond the first quarter of ICC, but I'm hoping *fingers crossed* to help the server as a whole, by making a guild that helps to get their toons to 80, helps them to get triumph badge gear, and teaches them the first quarter of ICC, then when they have mastered all of this, I'm kicking them the fudgums out, and they can move on to bigger and better things! Hopefully I'll even find a few diamonds in the rough as it were and add to the raiding pool for WGW and BootD! I am keeping Franticboom in WGW as both a raider and an officer, and I'm inviting everyone who feels they are not geared enough for the first quarter of ICC and would like help gearing up to join my guild for a short time while we get you geared! Of course while you are in my guild you will still have a spot in WGW or BootD so as soon as you are ready you can jump right back in! And we want to stress that we are NOT requiring anyone to change guilds, but the option is there. My new guild is called Anonymous P U G so please /w Franticboom or Curiositys if you are interested in joining! I'm still looking forward to raiding with you guys, and I plan on having our Guild chats linked with G2G at least for me and those who come from Worgen Gone Wild and By order of the Dragon, but probably no one else (i.e. pug newblets) until we get to know them better. Hope everyone likes (or at least understands) my idea! And if you don't...well then up yours! :D Love to you all, and I'll be around, feel free to gimme a yell!

Happy birthday Tyrwll!!!

Raiding updates!!

We've got some changes coming up to our raiding system!

1. Based on the poll, we will be starting our raid at a new time: 6:30 server.

2. Leadership from the guilds wanted to clear up what might've been some confusion about our recent policy for consideration for ICC 10 man.
We instituted a minimum gear score but perhaps didn't explain why well enough. Although we had many a week with many a member under the "line" and we downed many a boss, the newer bosses are considerably more difficult, and skill not withstanding, require a higher output and ability to take punishment then the earlier bosses. It was never our intention to make anyone feel they weren't ready for some of the ICC content, which leads us to our most important change...

3. We will be implementing a new switch system for 10 man ICC. Rather than try to form 2 groups, we are going to form one group and then ask for volunteers to step out for the first wing of ICC. Those spots will be filled by others interested in coming that either didn't win the roll or didn't meet the "line". This way more raiders can get into ICC each week, meaning a chance at drops and more reputation and frost emblems. It also means more raiders will know the fights so when we have the base to make two constant 10 man groups there will be consistency. And most importantly, it gives us more opportunity to get to know each other socially.

If you have any questions about this new system or how it's going to work, feel free to ask either myself or Leorihk. (This change will not be effected by the weekly raid being ICC. The only thing lost by those willing to volunteer out are the 5 frost emblems from completing the weekly which is only a little more than the 8 they are already sacrificing for missing the first wing of ICC.)

4. Lastly, due to the mechanics of several of the fights in ICC, we've decided to split the ranged and melee dps into slots just as tank and heals are roles. Our justification for this is if you don't have 2 tanks, you can't do some fights, and the same is true if you don't have enough ranged or enough melee dps.

The plan is to start these new policies Tuesday, the start of the new raiding week.

Please post comments and give us feedback on these changes.

Thanks,
-Jehryn

I'm a Lead Farmer Mother F*****

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXBhyfI-1Jg&feature=related

The best ammo in the game right now was recently released in patch 3.3. Iceblade Arrows and Shatter Rounds. It requires honored with Ashen Verdict to buy the recipe. The arrows require Gnomish Engineering while the bullets require Goblin. I think it's very important we as a guild have two engineers who can make this ammunition. (note: this has nothing to do with my hunter who recently dinged 80 and needs moar deeps.)

The arrows cost 2 crystallized shadow to make a stack of 1000. A stack of Iceblade is going for 15.60 and up right now on the auction house.
The bullets cost 2 crystallized earth to make a stack of 1000. A stack of Shatter is going for 21.90 and up right now on the auction house.

In case your not a math wiz let me show you how the calculations go.

2 crystallized shadow/earth into 15-21 gold = OMGWTFBANANASBUCURICH

I have already talked to Danknig about this in game and it sounds like he is going to be making Iceblade Arrows for the guild. If there are any other engineers out there go Goblin! It's way leet their stuff never breaks. But really we could use someone crafting bullets. And even if you hate this guild and don't care about it's hunters and their ammo you can make a arseload of gold off of this recipe with just a little reputation from ICC.

Thank you. That is all for now.

New raiding schedual off to a great start:

Last night ten people went in to the Trial of the Crusader. This morning, none of them had to visit a blacksmith.

Leorihk, Jarah, Psycophant, Markand, Dendrobium, Franticboom, Magglee, Kujikiri, Ghirardelli and Nerrishan not only full cleared but ONE SHOT the entire raid.

New pieces were won, Triumph emblems were handed out and glory was had by the raiders above, congratulations guys!!!

Tonight we have our first 25 man with the new raid schedule. I would love to see everyone there :)

The results of the poll are in.

It seems achievements and old world raids are the overall top priority, but I'd recommend that those that are interested in PVP, find one another, post comments to this entry and find times to get together and slaughter!!!

A few people have asked about changing the raid starting time from 7:30 server (to start building the group and pulling the first trash at 8 sharp). So I'll post a poll about that, I'd love to get your feedback.

And lastly, as always, we are around if you need us. We can help you get badges, drops from dungeons, or mats. We can help you do the research for your class or spec, finding where that elusive last slot you need to replace drops :).

If no one is on and you need a hand, shoot an email to the guild email (found in your guild information tab), and we'll all make an effort to do whatever we can to help you out.

Thanks again all,
-Kyle(Jehryn/Deathdrow)

I love you all <3

Send me your pictures!!

So some of you may or may not have noticed there is a spot for pictures to the left of these posts. I'd like to change that out about once a week, but I need more screen shots! Please email (to the new guild email address which you will find in either of the guild information tabs.) me any/all funny, goofy or cool screen shots that you'd like to see up.

Also, we will be picking 1 toon per week to feature their achievements, so if it's you...go out and get some cool achievements that week! Show everyone how much better you are! Rub it in their faces that you got a cool new pet or mount...or don't get any new achievements if you don't like them. We guild officials will only cry a little. *sniffle* *sniffle*

I look forward to seeing your pictures!

New Site, New Plan, New Outlook

To our great guild,

I wanted to open by saying it's a pleasure to be a part of a group of friends and family that all share a common social bond that helps us keep in touch, hang out and have fun.

I'm thrilled and proud to say our guild has seen the second wing of the newest content, Icecrown Citadel, and has downed the first boss in the hardest content, the Trial of the Grand Crusader. But that is the least of our accomplishments.

The true "Achievement" that everyone has earned is the camaraderie I see every day, and that is what I'm here to encourage.

This site will facilitate a greater level of interaction with one another, even if we aren't online at the same time.

On top of that, we have created a new email address that will allow anyone to contact us more reliably and without the limitations of the in game WoW mail system. The email address will be posted in both Guild Information Tabs.

This email address will be checked by the leaders of the guild. If you wish to address a specific leader, please include their name as the first word in the subject line.

Also, we've decided on a new direction for raiding.

The following can and might change, based on the feedback that you are now able to give us at your convenience through comments and emails:

1. Tuesday and Saturday nights will be spent in 10 man content with guildies that want to raid but feel they need more practice or gear. We will cover appropriate content and better geared players will step back for those that could use more attention.

2. Wednesday night seems to be our most active night. So I'd like to start forming a 25 man raid every Wednesday night. We have plenty of raiders who want to do this, but can't seem to get them all on at the same time, so Wednesday will be the first day we'll try to make it happen.

3. Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday will be used by those that wish to explore the groundbreaking content. The raid group will be formed Thursday evening based on attendance and continue each of the following nights giving priority to saved members. However, if there becomes a need to create a rotating schedule before we are ready to begin two 10 mans/a 25 man exploring new content, then we will adjust.

For those not interested in raiding, or unable to raid due to job, school or other restrictions, I'd love to see your comments about what else you'd like to see the guild doing. If we find we have a large base of PvPers, we'll start organizing events for PvP and building arena teams. We can even have old world nights, or achievement runs.

All these things are possible, but Leorihk(GM of BOotD) and I(GM of WGW) need your help to make them happen.

At that, I will leave you with my words on your minds and await your responses.

Truly yours,

-Kyle (Jehryn/DeathDrow)

Our Awesome new Blog/announcment site!

Good News Everyone! We finally have a website. It's not exactly what we wanted, but it will do for now. We will use this space to put up guild announcements such as raid times, officer meetings, and other funny silly things. We have also set up an email address that will be available for both guild leaders and all of their officers to send and receive emails. As far as posts on this site, usually Jehryn or Leorihk will be doing the postings with a few here and there by me (Franticboom). We would L-O-V-E for any and everyone to leave comments to each and every posting. Comments should be relevant to the post, such as if it's a post about a raid next week, a good comment would say: "Yes! I will be there! ~Frantic" a silly post would say: "Where do babies come from? ~Curi" and a pointless post would say: "CAN MY LVL 40 HUNTER COME???? i CAN DO 100 DPS, I'M UUBER UUBER L337! ~Hallough". Now, all are welcome...but we will mostly be aiming for the "yes I'll be there" or "sadly I can't come because I have a real life and hate all of you anyhow." types of comments.

Also...I'd like to let EVERYONE know...we successfully downed the Northrend Beasts on Heroic this evening 1/07/10! I will be posting the screen shot in the next day or two. You guys...rock socks.

Please, if you have any questions about this blog, the email address, or anything else relating to WGW or BOOTD contact Leorihk, Jehryn, Franticboom, Magglee, Aegennai, Mendorent or any of the other official-ish people in either guild. We will be posting the email address in our daily quote, and guild information.

Happy WoWing!

~FranticBoom
